Gifted and Talented

The Able, Gifted & Talented (AGT) programme at De Lisle College exists to identify and support students who are achieving, or have the ability to achieve, above average compared to their peers. Ensuring that appropriate provision, challenge and enrichment is available to them in all curriculum areas.

Aims of the programme

To enrich the curriculum with a range of activities and experiences that extend the more-able pupils and challenge them to develop the special abilities and talents that they possess.

To raise expectations and aspirations among pupils, their families and their teachers and to develop a culture of excellence from which every pupil can benefit directly or indirectly.

To counteract negative peer pressure and strive to ensure that high achievement is respected, admired and affirmed.
