Year 7 Rugby News

The year 7 boys have played 3 rugby matches to date and have drawn 1 and lost 2. Despite waiting for their first win, they have improved greatly and it has been lovely to see so many boys take up the sport for the first time and so eager to learn and develop their skills.

In our first match, we drew with West Bridgford, 20-20 and were then soundly beaten by Ivanhoe 25-0. Having had a few training sessions, we then hosted Ivanhoe at De Lisle and the improvement was huge. Although we lost 25-20, it was much closer than the previous game showing how far the boys have come in a short space of time. With the inter-house rugby starting after Christmas, I am certain that we will continue to get better and that our first victory is not too far away!
