Darcie - 'TeenStar' Singing Competition

An amazing achievement for Darcie, Year 11, who is set to perform at the O2 in London.

I decided to audition for a competition called ‘TeenStar’ in hope that I’d gain some more experience performing. I started amongst 10,000 other contestants in the nerve-racking auditions, with only one minute to prove my individuality. I then progressed to the regional finals singing ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’, in front of a live judging panel and a voting audience. This gave me such a buzz. I was then delighted to make it through to the Area finals in Manchester, singing my version of ‘Jealous’, to an experienced set of judges including those having connections with X factor and recording companies. I’m thrilled that I’ve made it to the grand finals and even more excited as it’s at the O2 in London! On the 1st February 2020, at the O2, I will be performing my version of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing’, and couldn’t be more excited about the experiences and opportunities I’ve had so far in this competition.
