A Level Results 2020

Our Year 13 students received their A level results today, in the midst of considerable media controversy over the grading process itself and on-going uncertainty about appeals. We are very proud of all our young people.

Several students received a raft of A* and A grades, including Max (3 A* grades), Charlotte (2 A* and 1 A grade), Jada (A*AA), and Maddie (A*AA). Whilst these grades are well-deserved, we are conscious that for some students, the grades awarded this year do not adequately reflect their ability. We will be making appeals on behalf of these students. However, despite the limitations of the statistical model, most students were accepted by their first choice universities.

Next year, our Year 13 students are looking forward to starting a wide range of degree programmes and higher level apprenticeships. Destinations include Cambridge University (English), Durham University (Engineering) and Glasgow University (Geography). Three students will be studying medicine in September, at Liverpool, Birmingham and Leeds.

We wish all our students the very best of luck for the future.
