GCSE Results 2021

All our students are exceptional, given the unprecedented challenges that they have faced and overcome.

Year 11 students saw the culmination of all their hard work when they came into college this morning to collect their GCSE and level 2 BTEC results. The class of 2021 has experienced significant turbulence both last year and this, getting to grips with new ways of learning during lockdown, as well as contending with very difficult personal circumstances in a number of individual cases. It was wonderful to see the mixture of joy and relief on the faces of students as they received their results. The staff have been superb throughout, offering academic and pastoral support, assessing the students’ work, and turning out in strength this morning to guide students on their next steps.

Amongst many standout performances are the results of Amy (ten grade 9s), Isabel and Amelie (nine grade 9s), Leah (eight grade 9s) and Sean and Jasmine (each achieving seven grade 9s). However, in their different ways, all our students are exceptional, given the unprecedented challenges that they have faced and overcome.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming our students back into the Sixth Form for enrolment on 26 August. To them, and to our students who are taking up apprenticeships and courses with other providers, we send our best wishes and congratulations. We are so proud of you all!
