Year 8 Students Support University Project

A group of students from Year 8 were asked to support researchers from Loughborough University with a recent project.  Students were asked to provide feedback on a website that has been developed to communicate research into sustainability with the general public.  After providing feedback on this earlier in the term, students this week visited the university to expand on this.

During their visit to the university, students acted as ‘consultants’ – to engage with, and provide feedback on, an exhibition stand that has been prepared by the university researchers in readiness for a show at the Royal Society’s Summer of Science.

The students were excellent ambassadors for the school, and enjoyed the opportunity to meet researchers and provide feedback on how this important work is communicated to young people.  Many thanks to Mr Archer for taking students on the school minibus.
