Nottingham Diocese Day of the Eucharist - Part Two
On 19 April 2018, we participated in the second diocesan day of Eucharistic adoration. Students had a precious opportunity to spend time in prayer and reflection before Jesus during the busy school day. We are grateful to Fr Colin Patey for giving his time to lead us in prayer and reflection.
Students in Year 9 reported how they felt about the experience:
“I really liked how we got a quiet time to reflect. I hope we can do something like this in future because it helps to build my knowledge of faith….”
“Although I am a Catholic, I have never experienced Adoration before and I am very grateful to be given the chance to take time to reflect.”
“I appreciate the effort put in to the service and the priest’s assistance, helping us learn more about our faith.”
“Thank you for letting us come and have a peaceful experience. It was really nice to pray and be in silence.”
“I loved having my head in prayer and just reflecting.”
“…it has inspired me to go and experience this more. I feel very privileged to be able to experience this. Thank you.”
“Thank you …it gave me something, a new feeling.”
“I enjoyed it as it gave me time to reflect.”
