A Level Results 2018
Today, students and staff at De Lisle College are celebrating record A level results. As well as a 100% pass rate across all entries, an impressive number of students have achieved A* and A grades in the reformed, more challenging new A level examinations. We are delighted that the vast majority of students are moving onto their first choice destinations next year, with a third of the Year 13 cohort accepting places at the most competitive Russell Group universities, ranging from the London School of Economics to the University of Birmingham. We are equally delighted that as an alternative to university and following their A level success, a small number of students have been enrolled on elite apprenticeships.
Stand out performances include William who has achieved an impressive 3 A* grades in maths, further maths and physics, Lauren who achieved an A* and 2 A grades, and Alice who also achieved an A* and 2 A grades. Will is looking forward to reading maths at Imperial College in September, while Lauren and Alice will both be going to Leeds to read medicine. Another top student, Deesha, has gained a place, also at Leeds, to read dentistry.
We are very proud of the achievements of all our students, and wish them every success for the future.
