On Monday 28 January 2019, the feast day of our CMAT patron Saint Thomas Aquinas, representatives from De Lisle and the other schools in our CMAT came together for the Launch Event. It included hearing from our CEO, Neil Lockyer, the NDCYS team and the chaplains from across the trust. The highlight was celebrating Mass with Bishop Patrick in the afternoon.

"This experience made me realise how big this trust is and how important it is that we come together to celebrate it. It was a great opportunity to celebrate our faith with Bishop Patrick and the other priests that came to celebrate the Mass with us. The Mass was very enjoyable with great additions of hymns and psalms. It was also great to meet staff and students from other schools and enjoy the event with them." Alex, Year 12

"I enjoyed the whole experience, it was really nice to have such a big Mass with the Bishop and multiple other priests. I really enjoyed how upbeat and fun it was. The people from NDCYS were really engaging and positive and I also loved how the chaplains got a chance to speak." Susie, Year 12

"It was a really nice experience to see the different schools coming together and it was breathtaking to hear everyone sing. The Mass was the most amazing part of the whole day because of what Bishop Patrick said." Victoria, Year 9

"We entered the stadium to see a huge group of primary and secondary students. We spent a while learning about Saint Thomas Aquinas and how we should aspire to be like him. We then celebrated Mass with Bishop Patrick and other priests. For me personally, this showed that although we live apart we work in Christ as one and all have the same frame of mind - to serve God and spread love and kindness throughout our lives." Dan, Year 9
