On Thursday 30 March, students studying Level 3 Applied Business, a course equivalent to A Level, were put through a rigorous mock interview process which formed part of their qualification. As well as completing a Degree Apprenticeship-level application form and writing a CV, students were interviewed by volunteers from the Rotary Club of Loughborough. Volunteers Ian Shape and Andy Perkins reviewed students’ CVs and questioned them about the role being applied for. Following their interviews, students were given detailed group and individual feedback, and a winning candidate was selected – and presented with a certificate!
Students commented that the mock interview process gave them increased confidence and useful feedback to use in the future. We are very grateful for the time both Ian and Andy spent with students, and in preparing the interview questions and providing feedback afterwards.
