Students who have signed up for the Mission Team have been meeting together this week to learn about the various ways that they can act for good in the college and the community beyond our school gates. Today the local action team were fortunate enough to have a visit from Catherine Brady, who spoke to us about the opportunities that exist to help people in Loughborough. Students have heard about Grub Club, The Exaireo Trust and Your Store. They discussed the value of really listening to people and about the value of treating everyone with care and dignity. They considered different actions that they could do to help the local community and thought about how even the smallest actions can have a big impact.
Catherine is inspired by her faith to help others and her enthusiasm for supporting people in need inspired us to consider the different ways in which we can put our faith into action.
Thank you, Catherine, for the good work you do for the community in Loughborough and for sharing your time with us and inspiring us to do good for others.
