As part of our personal development programme, we have been focusing on the concept of “care”.
Students have been hearing about the local services that can care for them if they face difficulty, thanks to Tilly who works for Love 4 Life. Love 4 Life is a local organisation that works predominantly with girls in one to one and small group settings but also extends their support to boys where needed.
In special assemblies, Tilly signposted additional support for young people who need help with a range of challenges, such as low self-esteem, difficulties in relationships, substance misuse and sexual identity. Students were also told about the range of youth clubs available to them as safe and supportive spaces to socialise and have fun. This information is invaluable in supporting our young people so that they can access the help they or their friends need, locally.
