The semi-finals of the first-ever STACMAT public-speaking competition took place at English Martyrs’ today. Representing De Lisle, we had Hugh Jinks, Katelyn Boland, Emily Lingham and Kian Darcy (although, sadly Kian was taken ill on the day of the competition). All of our students had done incredibly well to reach the semi-finals. Whilst none of our students secured a place in the final (this year!), Katelyn and Emily narrowly missed out, coming third.
