University of Oxford Workshops

On Thursday 28 September, students from Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 attended talks and workshops run by University of Oxford.  Luke Maw, Student Recruitment and Progression Manager, and Rebecca Smithson, Access & Outreach Coordinator, were joined by ambassadors representing a range of subjects from St. Edmund Hall.

Year 10 had ‘Oxbridge Explained’ and Year 11 followed up a talk from last academic year by hearing about A level choices, higher education, and student finance.  Alongside this, Year 13 students worked with ambassadors to prepare for upcoming interviews and admissions tests whilst Year 12 took part in both a talk on Oxbridge and higher education and workshop on critical thinking and super-curricular activities.

Many thanks go to Luke, Rebecca and the team of ambassadors for spending the morning at De Lisle.  Students greatly appreciated the information shared and time spent answering any questions they had.
