60 Year 7 students took part in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) themed day on Friday 20 January, which included volunteers from the HS2 rail project visiting school.

Students learned more about careers in STEM and transferrable skills for the future world of work.  Activities included designing a ‘station of the future’ and solving a team ‘tunnel building challenge’.  There was also an opportunity to play a rail-themed board game and ask questions of the visitors to school about their careers.

Many thanks to Peter and Paul from Learn By Design, for running the event, and Krishan and Eleanor, STEM Ambassadors from HS2 Rail, for working with the students throughout the day.
