The Biology A level has been developed to engage and inspire students by showing how an understanding of many issues requires a grasp of biological ideas. Well-chosen content provides an enjoyable learning experience and allows progression to further study. It forms a sound basis for applications to courses in biological sciences, any of the medical or environmental disciplines – or an interesting additional A level subject in its own right, to be used in applications in other areas.
There are three papers of equal weighting, each contributing to one third of the overall A level grade.
