College Chapel

Our College Chapel is the first thing you see when you enter our school. It serves as that constant reminder that we are “rooted and grounded in love” and that it is from Christ’s strength that we do all things.

The Chapel is the beating heart of our school and we are very privileged to have the Blessed Sacrament in school. The Chapel is open every lunchtime with a whole range of different activities for students to get involved with.

We also host our weekly staff prayer in our college Chapel and the door is always open for personal prayer time before or after school too. It is a blessing to grow in spiritual fellowship as a staff body.

We also have weekly form time Mass where one tutor group every Tuesday has the opportunity to go to Mass together. The Mass is the source & summit of our faith, so having the opportunity to take part in a daily Mass, as a form group is essential for our students to experience the fullness of the faith. With the support of our dedicated local clergy, within the academic year each form will celebrate Mass together.

What’s going on in the Chapel?

We are in the 9th week in Ordinary Time and the word of the week is Eucharist. As we try and settle back into the routine of school life, after our May half term we have the opportunity to spend some time in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

On Sunday we celebrated the feast of Corpus Christi, celebrating the truth that Jesus is fully present in the Blessed Sacrament and reminding ourselves of the privilege of receiving his Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity at Mass.

There is an opportunity for all staff  and students to find a moment to spend some time in quite prayer and reflection.
