The course focuses on developing sophisticated reading skills, analysing language at word and sentence level and exploring how language is used in a broad range of texts. It is a hugely varied course, exploring literature from different historical periods and settings. You will explore writing and speech in a wide range of forms, and develop your skills of interpretation through a combination of linguistic and literary approaches.
