Computer science is an exciting and challenging subject that gives you the opportunity to study how we solve problems in the modern world. You will develop useful practical skills in programming, whilst also looking at the broader academic concepts of computational thinking and computer systems.
You will learn how to solve problems with a logical and methodical approach, structuring solutions through the use of abstraction and decomposition. These are vital skills for important job roles in our future.
The coursework element gives you vital experience in managing a large-scale software project, and helps build independent learning and self-management; all of which are essential skills for students looking to attend university.
