The school production of Chicago finally took to the stage this week after months of preparation. Auditions were held last June, and rehearsals began in September. The hard work of the cast has really paid off – singing, dancing and acting all contributed to a very high standard of performance, and a most enjoyable evening for audience members.
The students involved spanned the full age range of the school, from Year 13 to Year 7. There was a tremendous sense of camaraderie between the students, both on and off stage.
Congratulations to the whole cast! Of course, none of this would have been possible without the hard work of the staff. Huge thanks go to Miss Robey-Monks, Mrs Payne, Mrs Fisher and Mr Dellacca.
If your child has not yet taken part in a performance at school, please encourage them to look out for future opportunities. We are always looking for students to join our choir and instrumental ensembles. If you are interested in the performing arts at De Lisle, please contact Miss Robey-Monks in the first instance.
