On Tuesday 7 February, Daniel James, founder of The Prime Life Project, visited the school to work with groups of Year 10 and 11 students and to provide a talk to all Year 10 students.  Daniel is an entrepreneur, running a successful fitness coaching company, and public speaker on wellbeing topics, regularly appearing on BBC Radio Nottingham where he speaks about matters relating to mental health.  Daniel’s mission is “…to help as many young people as possible, both mentally and physically to become the best version of themselves, and take back control of the most valuable asset – their minds!”.

Daniel used his coaching, business and life experience to present strategies for positive thinking to students, including harnessing positive thought and overcoming negative feelings.  He also gave practical advice on taking control of, and being aware of negative aspects of, social media.  We are very grateful for Daniel for the time spent with students, and to the LLEP (Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership) organisation for supporting the talk.
