DNA Sequencing Workshop
Dr Badge from the University of Leicester delivered a DNA sequencing workshop to a group of our year 12 scientists today (Friday 28th April).
Students learnt about the history of the field along with the most recent advances (nanopore sequencing), and saw the genome of an insect being sequenced live in the lab!
Thank you to Dr Badge and Emily (a PhD student) for sharing some of their knowledge with our young people.
