On Wednesday 7 February, 35 Year 8 students attended a “Medicine Calling” day at University of Leicester. The students had the opportunity to hear about careers relating to mental health and took part in interactive workshops led by a Forensic Psychiatrist, Junior Doctor and Student Mental Health Nurse. The students were also taken on a campus tour, so they could see what studying at university in the future would be like.
Students enjoyed their day and learned a lot. We are very grateful to the staff and student ambassadors from University of Leicester involved in organising and delivering the Medicine Calling day.
