On Tuesday afternoon the new Mission Team came together to celebrate their commissioning, with Mass led by Father Jonathan Cotton. Our students had a special prayer for their commissioning which was wonderfully linked to the feast day of St Francis of Assisi.
Over the past week each branch of the Mission Team has undergone training, including attending St Paul’s School in Leicester for a CAFOD leadership day. The Mission Team will receive their new badges over the next couple of weeks and will soon begin working in school and in the local community. Some students have already led Acts of Worship, and others will be helping to serve soup next week to raise money for CAFOD.
