This term, over the course of six weeks, a group of girls from Year 8 have taken part in a fun computer programming activity.

Starting with the basics, the girls learned how to use Lego Mindstorm programming applications to give robots simple instructions.  The programming became more complex, and by the final week the girls had programmed both the robot and a remote handset to control it.  This was a very fun and engaging activity with lots of teamwork and communication skills demonstrated.

We are grateful to Stefan and the team of volunteers from Loughborough Students’ Union, who ran the weekly workshops and brought in the equipment for us to use.
