At De Lisle students are assessed formally at key points in the year. In Key Stage 3, these assessments take place on three occasions across the academic year at the end of each term. In Key Stage 4, students are assessed three times in Year 10, before sitting a Pre-Public Exam in November of Year 11. In Key Stage 5, students are assessed each term, with more formal PPE assessments in March of Year 12, and September and January of Year 13.
The assessment process is not only about reporting a grade. The main focus for students should be to identify what went well, and importantly, what areas they now need to improve on. To support this, students are provided with constant formative feedback during their lessons throughout the year.
